Ray Tammadon’s Mediation Approach
Stop Fighting, Be Reasonable. We will make you “give an inch”!
Ray's mediation style can best be described as user-friendly and personable but firm in (goading) motivating the parties to come to an agreement. He knows when to talk and when to listen. Ray is effective and incisive in distilling complex issues to their essence to facilitate their realistic assessment by the participants. Ray does quite a bit of preparation in advance of the mediation by reviewing the materials and analyzing the cases so that he can come to the mediation with the (ammunition) knowledge necessary to provide the parties with a pragmatic assessment of their position. Ray becomes personally (vested) invested in achieving a settlement because he understands parties and their attorneys do not want to (invest) spend their time and money for just a “gab session.”

Mediation
Mediation is a way of managing conflict that uses an impartial person to help team members to resolve their disagreements. The intention is to ease workplace tensions before they escalate into something more damaging. It differs from disciplinary and grievance procedures by offering a more informal and flexible approach.
Although severe conflicts are likely rare within teams, and many people will work through any disagreements in a mature way themselves, mediation can be a useful skill for managers to develop. It can allow them to deal confidently and effectively with more deep-seated conflict, as soon as it arises within their teams.
ARBITRATION
Arbitration is a form of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) that resolves disputes outside the judiciary courts. The dispute will be decided by one or more persons (the 'arbitrators', 'arbiters' or 'arbitral tribunal'), which renders the 'arbitration award'. An arbitration decision or award is legally binding on both sides and enforceable in the courts, unless all parties stipulate that the arbitration process and decision are non-binding.[1]
Arbitration is often used for the resolution of commercial disputes, particularly in the context of international commercial transactions. In certain countries such as the United States, arbitration is also frequently employed in consumer and employment matters, where arbitration may be mandated by the terms of employment or commercial contracts and may include a waiver of the right to bring a class action claim. Mandatory consumer and employment arbitration should be distinguished from consensual arbitration, particularly commercial arbitration.
